Dear Christ Church Members…

On Tuesday, August 22nd, District Superintendent Rev. Connie Gibson conducted a Church Conference to vote on disaffiliation from the United Methodist Church. The motion passed with 76.2% of professing members in attendance voting to disaffiliate. This has been a difficult and emotional process for our congregation. We have treated one another with grace, compassion, and respect. Our hope now is to come together around Jesus and His mission, continuing to worship, love, and work together. Regardless of how individuals voted, we pray you will continue to be a part of Christ Church. We are committed to remaining the same Christ-centered, loving, caring, grace-filled, open, and welcoming congregation we’ve always been.

As part of the disaffiliation process, we are required to report to the Oklahoma Annual Conference what each professing member of Christ Church intends to do with their church membership. There are several options you have at this point and the form below asks for your response to one of them.

Your response is necessary for us to complete the disaffiliation process as outlined by the Oklahoma Annual Conference of the UMC.
